MULTIPLE A B C shift positions available, large company, both direct hire and temp-to-direct hire openings in Rochester, NY on the east side. These positions are with 1 of the most reputable, successful companies in Rochester and all of Western NY.Critical functions - Operate machine tool to produce high-quality parts that meet customer specifications.- Setup and edit programs- Grinding positions must be able to hold .0002 tolerance on machined parts. - Read blueprints and follow written work instructions. Qualifications- Min 2yrs background operating manual andor CNC machine tools.- some setup background- programming background a plus- Background with Geometrical Dimensioning Tolerance GDT required. - Background with measuring and inspection equipment. - High-school degree or GED mechanical training or vocational education a plus - Strong Math skills -- must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
